The Complete Application Package
The guide Getting and Keeping Your Security Business Licence provides a list of all that needs to be included in each type of application package, whether it’s for a new licence, renewal, update or replacement. It is extremely important that all information requested on the application forms is complete and that all required documentation is enclosed with the application you send in to the Registrar.
Your application may be returned unprocessed if:
- forms that are not completed correctly, or
- if any information or documents are missing from the application;or
- if the payment is incorrect or not provided
No refunds of fees are given. Double check everything before you send in the application form.

Mailing and Contact Information
See Contact Us page of this website for full mailing address and courier drop-off information as well as the phone, fax and e-mail to reach Security Programs Division. This information is also provided on the first page of the guide. When you mail your application package to the Registrar, or if you chose to courier your package in, it is extremely important that you label the envelope clearly with the FULL mailing information, including “Attention: Registrar, Security Programs — Licensing Dept.”
Withdrawing your Application
As soon as the Registrar receives your application and payment, the criminal record check process is immediately started. If you decide after submitting an application that you no longer need a licence, you must contact the Registrar’s office to request the application be withdrawn from processing. It is not possible to refund payment.
