Download Guide for Security BusinessesGetting and Keeping Your Licence – Guide

This guide is to be used when a business first applies for a security business licence and through the various processes in keeping the licence current.  Security businesses that are not sole proprietor may have controlling members (individuals who have control or the ability to control the operations of the business).

Part of acquiring a security business licence is to identify controlling members. Controlling members must also comply with the Security Services Act. Responsibilities and requirements are outlined in the section for Controlling Member of a Security Business.
