Security Consultants

What is a security consultant?
Security consultant companies provide expert, professional advice and information about how to protect property from vandalism, intrusion, trespass, or theft. They also detect devices that can intercept, transmit, or examine private communications and records.

Do security consultants need to be licensed?
All security consultant businesses, employees and owners or managers must be licensed under the Private Investigators and Security Agencies Act with the exception of administrative staff (janitors, clerks, etc.) who do not supervise licensed employees.

Each application for licensing is assessed on its own merit and requires Security Programs approval.
