2009 Alberta Gang Crime Summit
Solicitor General Kash Heed attended the 2009 Alberta Gang Crime Summit, June 25 and 26 to share ideas with police, gang experts and others. While in Alberta, Minister Heed met with Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and Alberta Solicitor General Fred Lindsay to talk about how the two provinces can continue to forge strong relationships with all provincial and federal counterparts to deal with the gang issue.
Minister Heed says they discussed the sharing of intelligence information and new collaboration avenues the two provinces can explore to collectively fight gangs on our streets. Heed says there is a lot of creative energy from the people in British Columbia and Alberta to share their experiences.
