Determine What Additional Approvals You'll Need

Local government or other approvals

A liquor licence is only one requirement in opening a UBrew/UVin store in British Columbia.

You will also need to talk to the local government (municipality, regional district, or First Nation) where you want to open your UBrew/UVin store about how to obtain a business licence and such issues as zoning and building bylaws, sign requirements, health and fire regulations.

You also need to register with the federal government, and if you are going to be making wort, you will need to get a Federal Wort Licence, through the Canada Revenue Agency.
