Major Capital Project Grants (More than $20,000)


Overview - Major Capital Project Grants

This grant applies to capital projects valued at more than $20,000.

NOTE:
Funding for capital projects costing $20,000 or less may be applied for through the Direct Access program. For more information, please see Direct Access Grants - for community programs.

Major Capital Project Grants - overview
Eligibility The organization must be federally or provincially incorporated as a non-profit society. If your organization is registered under the provincial Societies Act, it must be in good standing with the Registrar of Companies. Grant Amount The amount equal to the secured funding held by the organization for the project, to a maximum of 50% of the total cost of the project. Maximum: $100,000.
Application
  • One application per year.
  • Submit online or by mail.
  • May be paired with a Direct Access Grant application in the same year.
Application Period Oct 1 - Nov 30
Processing Fee None
Processing Time Applicants will be notified no later than March 31.

How to apply for Major Capital Project Grants
Step 1

After determining your organization is eligible to apply for a Major Capital Project Grant, review the following important documents:

Step 2 Prepare for your application by gathering required information outlined in the Major Capital Project Grant - Pre-Application Checklist pdf file - Acrobat Reader required. Completing an application will be faster and easier if you work through this checklist ahead of time.
Step 3

Option #1: Online application
Proceed to the Online Service page to apply electronically for a Major Capital Project Grant.

Option #2: Mail-in application
Download and print the Major Capital Project Grant - Application Form [RTF]. Complete the form and mail or courier it, along with supporting documents, to the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch in Victoria. The address can be found on the application form or on the Contact Us page.

NOTE: Faxed applications will NOT be accepted.

Step 4 The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch will respond no later than March 31.
