Overview - Community Gaming Grants

Community Gaming Grants - overview
Eligibility Non-profit organizations providing programs or services of direct benefit to the broader community. Details provided in Section 3 and 4 of Community Gaming Grant - Guidelines pdf file - Acrobat Reader required.
Grant Amount Local organizations: up to $100,000 per year
Regional organizations: up to $225,000 per year
Province-wide organizations: up to $250,000 per year
Application Regular Application
  • One application per year.
  • Submit online or by mail.
Special Intake:
For groups previously ineligible in the following categories:
  • Arts and Culture
  • Sport
  • Environment
Applications must be submitted online.
Apply from Jan 16 - Feb 13, 2012.
Final notification: Mar 31, 2012.

How to apply for Community Gaming Grants

Step 1

Before following any of the steps below, please read the entire table.

After determining your organization is eligible to apply for a Community Gaming Grant, review the following important documents:

If you're not sure your organization is eligible, please see 'Determining the correct type of gaming grant for your organization' on the Grants page.

Step 2

Make sure you're applying in the appropriate sector and at the appropriate time, according to the 'Application Period' information in the Overview - Community Gaming Grants section above.

Step 3 Prepare for your application by gathering required information outlined in the Community Gaming Grant - Pre-Application Checklist pdf file - Acrobat Reader required. Completing an application will be faster and easier if you work through this checklist ahead of time.
Step 4 Option #1: Online application
Proceed to the Online Service page to apply electronically for a Community Gaming Grant.

Option #2: Mail-in application (Not an option for Special Intake applicants, who must apply online using Option #1 above.)

Download and print the Community Gaming Grant - Application Form pdf file - Acrobat Reader required. Complete the form and mail or courier it, along with supporting documents, to the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch in Victoria. The address can be found on the application form or on the Contact Us page.

NOTE: Faxed or e-mailed applications will NOT be accepted.

Step 5 The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch will respond to the applicant by the final notification date for the sector they applied under (see above).
