book stores. How do I obtain the BC Fire Code?The BC Fire Code
is purchased through Crown Publications Inc. Who
looks after wood stove inspections?Your local building inspection department
normally conducts inspections of wood burning appliances. Who does house,
apartment or business inspections?These inspections are normally conducted
by your local fire department. We have listings, under Services and Information
on our home page, of the Fire Departments telephone numbers for you to contact. How
do I request a fire report?
Fire reports are submitted to the Office of
the Fire Commissioner from fire departments on all fire incidents in the province
that have an injury or dollar loss. In order to obtain a copy of a specific fire
report, you must make a written request containing the following information:
- the date of the incident;
- the proper street address of the incident
including city;
- the owner or occupant name; and
- your relationship
to the incident ie: Insurance broker, lawyer, owner, etc.
