The Safe Communities Kit was developed to assist communities and individuals in preventing crime and enhancing safety across British Columbia. The following six publications make up the kit:
Community Crime Prevention GuideThe Community Crime Prevention Guide (on the Criminal Justice Reform website) provides information on how to develop and implement an action plan, develop a communications strategy, plus it lists valuable sources of support.
Promising Practices for Addressing Youth Gang Violence (Totten Report) – April 2008 (external report)The report provides an overview of the prevalence of gangs in B.C. and Canada, and clear guidelines on evidence-based practices.

Groups of service providers and community partners who are working to develop local strategies to address prostitution and sexual exploitation.
A series of six handouts for communities addressing sexual exploitation of children and youth. Individuals and groups wanting to take action in their communities on issues related to the sexual exploitation of children and youth may use these handouts to guide them through the process of setting up a Community Action Netword, creating a community action plan, applying for funding, building awareness, and more.

The website is designed to be a one-stop resource for information about the commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth, with a focus on British Columbia.
Stopping the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Youth
Crime Prevention Information booklet designed to assist service providers, parents/guardians, teachers, and others who are working to help prevent children and youth from being sexually exploited or to help them leave situations that are exploitative in nature.
