Description
Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre is a remand and sentenced
facility for inmates of all levels of risk. The facility was opened
in 1913 and completely rebuilt in the mid-1980s. Significant renovations
were made during the 1990s. The heritage facade and internal courtyard
design are unique features among provincial facilities in B.C.
