Description
Fraser Regional Correctional Centre is the main sentenced facility
serving the Lower Mainland. The centre opened in 1990 and comprises
living units that each house 18 to 28 inmates. The facility also
features two living units for problematic inmates who require a
higher level of supervision because of psychological, physiological
or management problems.
The observation/segregation/medical
observation unit contains 13 cells that are used for temporary lock-up,
observation for health and security reasons, segregation and other
purposes.
