Description
Alouette Correctional Centre for Women was opened in April 2004 as a facility for female offenders who are classified
to open or medium security. Inmates are housed in three cottage-style residences.

The chaplain provides weekly services and ecumenical
and interfaith liaison counselling. Church groups and representatives from the community regularly provide services
and support. A Native liason provides spirituality and cultural awareness events.
